The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) has been found effective in reducing risk factors and increasing protective resilience factors.
FREE 7 Session Program
SFP involves not only parents/guardians or children alone, but the whole family! Developed specifically as a prevention strategy for families with children between 5 to 14 years old.
Parents/guardians learn to increase desired behaviors in children by using attention and rewards, clear communication, effective discipline, substance abuse education, problem solving and limit setting. Children learn effective communication, understanding feelings, social skills, problem solving, resisting peer pressure, consequences of substance use, and compliance with parent/guardian rules.
- Each family will be compensated for attendance in the form of a gift card which will be awarded upon completion of the program
- Virtual Zoom Session while sitting around your kitchen table eating dinner together!
- Families must have a computer with Wi-Fi access to participate
