Our Mission

The CCCADA aims to Prevent the disease of alcoholism, drug abuse and related problems; Educate the public that alcoholism, substance use disorders and related problems are treatable and preventable; and Encourage the early identification, intervention, treatment and continuum of care for alcoholism and other substance use disorders.

Prevention and Education Services: Our purpose is to educate the residents of Camden County that substance use disorders are identifiable, preventable, and treatable. We provide up to date, accurate information on every aspect of chemical dependency issues to as many individuals, organizations and community groups as possible. We serve the community in an advocacy capacity by alerting local officials, state legislators and the media to issues and community needs related to alcoholism and other drug dependencies while partnering with communities to bring education and programming to youth and families.

Information and referral service: Call us with your questions or for current listings of drug and alcohol self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Alanon, etc. We provide referrals into treatment, arrange for treatment admissions, and provide supportive non-judgmental and caring counseling to persons in need and/or their family members. Films and educational materials are available to interested individuals and groups.

Public education: Educational programs are offered to schools, law enforcement groups, health care agencies and others interested in accurate information about substance abuse. Our highly trained staff offers a repertoire of presentation topics including current drug trends, youth skill building & empowerment programs for elementary, middle and high school students, Responsible Beverage Server training and more.
